If you’ve been following us here at Kid Buy Products, then you would know that I’m the “city mom,” the one who probably puts as many miles on her stroller in a given week as her car. Maybe miles is an exaggeration, but my kids definitely spend more time strapped into their stroller than they do their car seats for sure. We love, love, LOVE our double stroller for all the cargo space that it has, but sometimes even that’s not enough. Plus, we’ve yet to find the perfect cup holder for our stroller, either. Then, one afternoon I stumbled across the Soft Buggy Cups and Buggy Hooks from the mom-owned company Think King, and realized that as a city dweller herself, King may have come up with some of the solutions that I need for transporting all my stuff.
Click on Read More below for my review of the products and the giveaway from Think King.
Functionality *** – Starting with the Buggy Hooks, they attach to my stroller using super strong velcro which makes them unique from other products that I have tried. They are easy to remove, but I’ve never questioned whether or not they will stay put, even with bags of groceries attached to them. The hooks are made of unbreakable aluminum and have a very deep “U shape” which means that when I’m headed out, I can hook my keys on them and feel confident that they are not going to bounce off which again, has not been the case with other products I’ve tried. Plus, they are deep enough to hold the strap of my diaper bag, too. Their slim profile keeps any bags that you’ve hooked on them close to stroller instead of banging into your knees! They are simply hooks, not clips which means you can grab whatever is attached to them off easily, even with a heavy toddler in your arms. Finally, they have a rubbery grip which keeps the hooks in place instead of sliding all around the bar.
As for the cup holder, there are three features that I feel make it stand out from all the other cup holders that I’ve tried. First, it’s soft which means that it flattens out and takes up no space when you fold up your stroller. Second, it has a drawstring which means you can fill it up with whatever you want and then pull it closed to keep your keys, cell phone, iPod or whatever perfectly safe. Finally, I love that it has a solid bottom. Again, this would let you just throw whatever you want in and it won’t fall out. This includes napkins or Kleenexes or whatever trash your kids throw at you on a given walk. While the cup holder is functional and easy to attach in the right spot, it unfortunately was not the solution to my cup holder problem. The only way to attach it to my particular double stroller is on the outside of the handlebar. It works and it stays put, but then I can’t go in and out of doorways without banging my drink. If you have a double jogging stroller then you know you have enough room to clear just about every doorway, although just barely. Right now, the cup holder is attached down on Nadia’s side of the stroller. She keeps her drink in it which is a handy and much less expensive than buying the pricey snack tray that comes as an option on our stroller, but if I’m not careful, it does bang on the door frame on the way through which has been a little rough on Nadia’s poor Sigg bottle. Don’t mistake my experience for disappointment with the product, though. Like I said, it does easily attach in the correct spot and stays put, so for single strollers or tandem doubles, you should have no trouble. It also comes with a very handy to guide to help you find just the right way to attach the cup holder to your particular style of stroller which is very helpful!
Price *** – Considering that the manufacturer of my diaper bag wants $20 for clips that will only hold my diaper bag, I don’t think that the $14.99 price tag for the multi-use Think King Buggy Hooks is a bad price at all. The cup holder retails for the same price and again, if it will work on your stroller, it’s design and multi-function use probably justify the price, especially if you use your stroller as much as I do. You can buy both products directly from the Think King website or use their store locator to find a retail location near you.
Overall Rating *** – The Buggy Hooks are without a doubt a must for a city mom who has to haul lots around with her. I’ve found any number of ways to use mine, and every time we head out, there is at least one thing attached to them! As for the cup holder, again, if you have a side-by-side double stroller, you’ll probably find that the cup holder won’t work for you, but those of you pushing around a single or a tandem, you’ll appreciate the simple, yet functional design of this very unique cup holder. It’s not just for strollers, either. You can attach it to scooters and on the Think King website there is even a picture of one attached to the top bunk of a bunk bed! Again, two great products designed by who else? A mom, of course.
Congratulations to Aura, the winner of the Buggy Hooks and Buggy Cup from Think King!

I guess I’m the Queen of Kleenex like you. I always stuff tissues in whatever nooks and crannies I can find; with 3 kids and seasonal allergies between them and myself, we need tissues where ever we can fit them 😀

I just saw the Buggy Cup online yesterday and was thinking about what a great idea it is and thinking about how handy it would be! I’m sure mine would have a bottle of water in it most of the time, but I’d probably also use it for 5-month-old’s bottle and my cell phone periodically too.
Thanks for the giveaway!
MAY 14, 2009 1:40 PM
I want to say bottled water but it’d probably be Starbucks coffee.
MAY 14, 2009 2:18 PM
My water bottle! Right now I put it in the basket underneath, where it usually gets dusty and dirty on our walks. Thanks for the giveaway!

I’m definitely going to have to agree with you that a few kleenexes will definitely find their way in there, but I will also be putting my water bottle in there.
